Lunar Nodes in Taurus and Scorpio 2022 – 2023: The Great Cosmic Reset

The year 2022 is bringing us some major astrological events. The Lunar Nodes shift on January 18 into Taurus – Scorpio is one of them.

It is a big deal. It is the new Taurus – Scorpio chapter in the Eclipse story. 

Venus – the Cosmic Queen of 2022 and beyond

2022 in numerology is a ‘6’ universal year. Traditionally, 6 is the number of beauty, harmony, love and relationships. However, this doesn’t mean that we will be automatically granted blessings in these areas. It just sets the tone for the entire year and signifies what we are all striving for.

Number 6 is very much associated with the heart chakra and the planet of love and abundance, Venus.

Venus is taking the cosmic centre stage in 2022 and beyond as it is also the ruler of the North Node of Destiny in Taurus.

The Nodes will change their signs again in summer of 2023, so till then Venus is the planet that is leading us to our ultimate destiny.

Nodes of the Moon Explained

The Nodes of the Moon are not actual planets or asteroids. They are points in the Sky that are mathematically calculated.

Technically speaking, they are the points in the orbit of the Moon where the Moon crosses the Ecliptic (a great circle on the celestial sphere representing the Sun’s apparent path during the year).

The Lunar nodes, the North Node and the South Node, are always directly opposite each other in the chart.

Their influence on our lives is extremely karmic in nature.

In Vedic astrology, these karmic points are called Rahu and Ketu. Rahu (the North Node), is the head of the dragon representing our destiny.

We should always aim at following our North Node to find our true path in life and fulfil our highest potential.

Ketu (the South Node) is the tail of the dragon, which represents our past life karma and past lessons, our comfort zone that we should move away from during this lifetime.

We are now being asked to release the need to obsess over the past and loosen up a little.

Uranus in Taurus is now getting support from the North Node in Taurus, which is a big deal.

Uranus is the planet of awakening, rebellion, breakthroughs and sudden, unpredictable changes.

Uranus also rules over earth quakes, volcano eruptions and other natural disasters. These themes are especially relevant now it is transiting through the fixed earth sign of Taurus.

Uranus is the higher octave of Mercury. It rules over higher intelligence and futuristic technological breakthroughs.

The North Node is also connected with our future and destiny.

One thing for sure, we are going to see some substantial breakthroughs in the development of AI, robotics, and digital identities.

Saturn – Uranus Square Activation

The year 2021 was a period of tensions in fixed signs (Taurus, Scorpio, Leo and Aquarius), starting with infamous Saturn – Uranus square.

 It represented an ongoing push-pull between the status quo and the desire for big social changes and rebellion.

This theme continues well into 2022.

This intense square will be activated again by Mars on few occasions and most definitely by the Lunar Nodes and Eclipses in fixed signs of Taurus and Scorpio throughout the year, which only adds fuel to the fire. 

This is a very turbulent, fiery and aggressive energy. It can lead to some major social conflicts and increase in government controls.

It can even lead to international conflicts, especially around the time of the Eclipses.
