Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius: the Final Chapter

Happening on December 4 at 2.41 am EST, the last Eclipse of 2021 is also the final Eclipse on the Sagittarius – Gemini axis as the Nodes of the Moon are moving into Taurus – Scorpio beginning of 2022, starting a new chapter in the Eclipse story.

It is worth noting that this nodal shift is adding agitation into fixed sign placements. It is a transition in the Eclipse story.

The year 2021 has been a period of tensions in fixed signs, starting with infamous Saturn–Uranus square. Its influence has been felt strongly throughout the year, followed by tensions between Mars, Saturn and Uranus and ,occasionally, Mercury.

Eclipses are powerful celestial events that very often bring about karmic circumstances and relationships. Despite the fated nature, Eclipses should not be feared but welcomed as a source of evolutionary change.

Even though this is a new Moon Solar Eclipse, it is happening in close proximity to the South Node. This influence signifies new beginnings that are most likely only possible after letting go of smth or someone that no longer serves our highest good.

Reflect on what has changed for you since the summer of 2020 (it was the beginning of the Gemini/Sagittarius Eclipse series).
This Eclipse is the final accord that will bring about tangible results of this transformational journey.

The Cosmic Weather Report

This Eclipse is happening in close proximity to our cosmic messenger, Mercury in Sagittarius, in its detriment, in opposition to Black Moon Lilith in Gemini. Your words can get rather punchy at this time.
Mercury in Sag is a bit of a trickster, especially opposite Black Moon Lilith, and can make you literally lose track of what you are saying. You might be perceived as cruel and obnoxious despite having the best intentions at heart.

This is the worst time to engage in any form of gossip… It can seriously damage your reputation at this time.

The Eclipse point is also forming a square (even though not exact) with the Lord of Illusions, nebulous Neptune, which just stationed direct on December 1. This influence can cause major confusion when it comes to communicating with others and getting your point across. It is advisable to examine contracts, agreements and other documentation during this time to avoid unwanted mistakes that can lead to complications in the future.

The Eclipse ruler Jupiter is forming a square with Mars in Scorpio. This indicates the potential need for adjustments of the current plans and strategies to move forward. Sqaures with Mars usually bring about a dose of frustration and agitation. Make sure to stay cool, calm and collected even when something in your world is not going according to the original plan. Readjust, re-evaluate, re-group if there is an unexpected u-turn that cropped up at this time.

Remember, this Eclipse is all about new powerful beginnings after letting go of something or someone that no longer serves our highest good. This square to Neptune only emphasizes this influence.

Who Will this Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius Affect the Most?

It is vital to understand that ‘popular‘ astrology that relies on mainly Sun signs, can’t provide a full spectrum of information for interpreting celestial events. It’s crucial to check where each transit falls in your uniquely designed Birth Chart. The house and any personal planets activated by a particular transit will play a significant role in your personal and professional life.

This total Solar Eclipse will have a profound effect on all of us. It will certainly have an even bigger impact on those who have any placements (especially natal Sun, Moon and/or Ascendant) in mutable signs: Sagittarius, Gemini, Virgo, and Pisces.

Be sure to check your Ascendant, Moon and Sun signs to get a full picture and to see which houses are being activated in your Birth Chart. When you read a horoscope for your Sun sign only, you only get a glimpse of what’s in store for your personal and professional life. Your Sun sign (related to the day you were born) might be an important component of your identity, but it’s only a small fraction of the whole story. Very often, your Ascendant (or Rising sign) is the most accurate representation of you as an individual, as it rules your first house of the self and therefore has the biggest impact on your personal horoscope. (Related: Big 3 in Your Birth Chart: Why It Is Crucial for Unlocking Your Destiny)

New Chapter

As a Sagittarius Rising, I must admit I’m feeling rather relieved that this is the final Eclipse on the Sag-Gemini axis for a few years to come….
Eclipses happening in the same sign as your Rising, natal Sun or Moon usually have the most profound effect on your personal journey.

All the best to those who have personal planets and nodes of the Moon in fixed signs (Scorpio, Taurus, Aquarius & Leo)!
Uranus-Saturn square has already put quite a lot of emphasis on fixed signs placements and now the upcoming nodal shift will only accelerate this influence.
You are well & truly becoming the stars of the cosmic show!

The Cosmic Takeaway

Eclipses–whatever sign or house they are activating in your Birth Chart–are always times of major change, even instability, as the energy is extremely potent and can activate major life altering events that very often we were not prepared to face.

Take a really good care of your physical body and try to stick to your daily routines, even though it might quite challenging during Eclipse season.

Reflect on the past 18 months and analyse what has changed for you and how well you managed to adjust to these changes.

This final Solar Eclipse on the Sagittarius – Gemini axis represents completion, the peak of manifestation of the intentions you set at the time of the beginning of this cycle back in the summer of 2020. It’s the time to celebrate your growth and the progress you’ve made so far. Take a moment to sit still and reflect on how far you’ve come. This Eclipse can also illuminate what has gone wrong on your way to achieving a desirable outcome. It can be a painful but necessary realization. Don’t blame yourself for the things that went wrong. Analyze, thoroughly examine the situation, learn from your mistakes, and move on. Remember, at the end of the day, it’s all about the journey, not the destination.
